Terms and Conditions for GCHT Events

The following terms and conditions apply to attendees that book onto events, lectures, training workshops and conferences delivered by Glasgow City Heritage Trust.

1.         Bookings

1.1       Only confirmed bookings will be guaranteed a place at an event. Bookings can be made over the phone or online via our website. Payment must be made at the time of booking and your booking will be confirmed via email.

1.2       If tickets are still available for an event we may make them available on the door. This is at our discretion and we reserve the right to turn you away if you do not have a confirmed booking.

2.        Non attendance

2.1       If you are unable to attend, you may send a substitute at no extra cost, provided that you notify us of the change prior to the event.

2.2       If you fail to notify us of the change we may charge for an additional place.

2.3       In the event of non attendance you will be liable for the full cost of the place.

3.         Closed Door Policy

3.1       The Trust operates a closed door policy to minimise disruption during events. If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the start of an event, we cannot guarantee entry.

3.2       If you are likely to arrive late, please contact us in advance of the event and we will do our best to accommodate you.

4.         Cancellation charges will apply

4.1       Up until 1 week prior to the event, you may request a full refund of the booking cost.

4.2       Within 1 week prior to the event, 100% of the booking cost will apply.

5.         Payment Terms

5.1       Payment should be made at the time of booking. Where places are reserved and no payment made, this place is not guaranteed.

5.2      Reselling a ticket for profit or commercial gain makes it void and the ticketholder will be refused entry.

6.         Photography and Recording

6.1       Glasgow City Heritage Trust may arrange for photographs and/or video footage to be taken at events and used for marketing and publicity purposes.  This may include printed documents or media, editorial coverage, advertising press and use on the internet.

6.2       Virtual events may be screen recorded for future dissemination. This may include question and answer sessions when participants are on screen.

6.3       Attendees who do not wish for their image to be used in this manner must notify us prior to the event.

7.         Virtual Online Events

7.1        You are responsible for the setup of your own device and for any technical requirements to enable you to access the events via the information provided by Glasgow City Heritage Trust and to participate in the event via the appropriate platform.

7.2       You agree to follow all instructions provided by Glasgow City Heritage Trust for the smooth running of the event. We reserve the right to eject anyone who fails to follow instructions resulting in disruption during an online event.

7.3     You will not create or introduce into the event, the website, or the platform any known spyware, virus, Trojan horse, logic bomb or other destructive or contaminating program.

7.4     GCHT is not responsible for any equipment, network or service failure or incompatibility where such equipment or service is not within the sole control of GCHT.

8.         Data Protection

8.1       By submitting registration details, attendees agree to allow Glasgow City Heritage Trust and partners associated with the event to contact you as required for the organisation and administration of the event.

9.        Events beyond our control

9.1       If the event is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, the full cost of the place will be refunded.

9.2       However, Glasgow City Heritage Trust will not be liable for any other costs incurred by delegates.

10.         Behaviour

10.1       Anti-social or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated at GCHT Events or on our premises, and we reserve the right to refuse entry or eject anyone if their behaviour is inappropriate.
