Start time: 10:00

End time: 12:00

Join a playful short walk designed for children to visit Glasgow’s Wellspring.

Hidden deep within the Crypt of Glasgow Cathedral lies one of the city’s oldest treasures – St Mungo’s Well, an ancient site, once at the heart of both pagan and Christian ritual.

The walk will be punctuated by stops for storytelling and art activities. Make a wish and learn the secrets that shaped the very start of our city.

Led by artist Hannah Brackston. Suitable for children of all ages, with an accompanying adult.

Whilst the walk will start and return to Cathedral square, an extension will be offered at 12 noon to guide the group to the Wellspring Exhibition at Glasgow City Heritage Trust, 54 Bell Street, G1 1LQ.

Accessibility : All of the walk will be on paved surfaces, however please note that the well itself is in the crypt of Glasgow Cathedral, accessed only via a short set of stairs, we shall however offer assistance with buggies. Accessible toilets and changing facilities will be available in St. Mungos Museum of Religious Life.

Free event but booking essential. Please book for everyone in your group, both children and accompanying adults.
