**Please note that this CPD will involve climbing scaffolding, being at height and will require you to have site-approved PPE (hard hat, high vis jacket and site boots).**
Built in the mid-1800s, 23 Lynedoch Street is a Category B-Listed building in Glasgow’s West End. Like many of the city’s historic sandstone buildings, the front and gable elevations have been completely covered with a cement-based render which is now failing, causing water ingress and further deterioration to the building fabric.
This CPD offers a training opportunity for built environment professionals to understand the process of fixing non-breathable renders on historic buildings. This includes removing the cement render and indent repairs to the stone underneath, helping to stop the water ingress and stabilising the facade.
Attendees will also get a chance to climb the scaffolding to see in-situ the other repair works being done to the building.

All CPD sessions are recognised by the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC) as being capable of contributing to the obligatory CPD requirements of Full Members (see www.ihbc.org.uk)
