We are delighted to have appointed our first ever Artist-in-Residence, in partnership with The National Trust for Scotland!
Florence Dwyer will be based at The Tenement House in Garnethill for six weeks to deliver the Living in the City project, creating artworks exploring Glasgow’s traditional tenement legacy.
Florence’s work usually takes the form of ceramics, textile pieces or furniture. She will be talking to the local community in Garnethill and the project will culminate in an exhibition of her work and findings at The Tenement House and at our Bell Street HQ.
In the meantime, Florence is looking for donations of any unwanted household objects. This could include; clothes, things for the kitchen, tools, things of no use anymore, things taking up space…
Head along and drop off any unwanted goods to The Tenement House during these open studio sessions or just see what Florence is working on.
