Historic Theatres Exhibition

Over the past two centuries Glasgow has been home to a number of theatres and music halls, and they have occupied a significant role in the social and architectural life of the city. This current exhibition at GCHT focuses on three of Glasgow’s surviving historic theatres; the Theatre Royal, the Britannia Panopticon and the Citizens’ Theatre. The exhibition aims to provide a condensed narrative by bringing together a range of material that, together, can begin to tell the story of Glasgow’s historic theatres.

Open daily 10am – 4pm from August – October 2016.
