Lens On Legacy: Glasgow’s Architectural Heritage

In this exhibition we have partnered with Queen’s Park Camera Club to capture the risks facing some of Glasgow’s most iconic buildings. Through contemporary photography, we aim to highlight the vulnerability of these historic buildings while also encouraging solutions and practical steps towards their repair and maintenance.

Free entry

Exhibition Opening Hours: 10am – 4pm
Every Wednesday to Friday, June to August
GCHT, 54 Bell Street, G1 1LQ

We’ll also be open:

You can also see more photographs from Queen’s Park Camera Club that we weren’t able to include in the physical gallery.

While the exhibition aims to highlight some of the vulnerability of historic buildings, we also want to encourage visitors to think about solutions and practical steps towards their conservation. Therefore, we’ve collected some helpful links below that go into more detail about repair and maintenance.

GCHT also frequently hosts events engaging people with Glasgow’s built environment, exploring ways to care for and maintain the city for our present and future. You can sign up to our mailing list to learn about upcoming events and ways to get involved.

The Engine Shed is Scotland’s conservation centre. Their website has a section dedicated to advice on historic building maintenance and improving energy efficiency.
