Walk Leader Training

Wednesday 21st November 2018 | 2-5pm | 54 Bell Street

Fancy learning a new skill?

As part of our Paths for All funded lunchtime walks programme we are running a training session for folk who’d be interested in leading guided walks in the future – either for our walks programme, for your own work or in your spare time. This will take half a day and will be held at GCHT’s offices. The training is FREE to attend.

This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill, and if you haven’t made it to one of our lunchtime walks yet you can get to know us as well!

The programme will include:

  • About Paths for All, walking and you
  • The benefits of walking for you and your workplace
  • How active should we be?
  • Demonstration walk and discussion
  • Route planning
  • Managing risk
  • Sharing routes with your colleagues
  • Resources and support
  • Evaluation

The training will include a short 20 min walk around the city centre from our offices.
