Educational Heritage Grants

Glasgow City Heritage Trust support education, training and heritage promotion projects in the City that focus on the historic built environment.

Around £50,000 is invested annually by the Trust into heritage education projects, such as: training courses on historic building materials and methods; support for producing Heritage Trails; lectures and exhibitions looking at architectural heritage and conservation; schools heritage projects; heritage interpretation materials and community engagement projects.

If you have an idea for a heritage project you may be able to get some funding from GCHT. The Trust cannot give you funds to cover staff time, but you can pay for freelancers to carry out work in a heritage project that will generate interest and appreciation in the city’s built environment.
